LED Lights for Balcombe Club

Supported by our Community Fund

Balcombe Club had already started replacing its lighting with LED bulbs and fittings, but The Forest Room was yet to be done. The club’s management team approached us to help them finish the job. From our Community Fund we provided a grant of £245 for all the light fittings and any necessary controls, which were installed by Chris Pierpoint.

The installation has reduced the energy needed to light the Forest Room from 1040W to 171W per hour. With lights on 15 hours a day the energy saving is 4758kWh per year. This represents a fantastic saving for the £245 donated by Repower Balcombe.

It’s great to see the benefits from our solar generation installations feeding back into our local community, a clear objective of the Co-op since its inception.
