Riding Sunbeams – Saturday 18th April 10:45 – 11:30 Victory Hall
All Welcome

“Our vision is to power railways with unsubsidised, direct-wire renewable generation whilst delivering significant social impact for line-side communities.”
A project born in a field in Balcombe when the co-op was searching for potential sites for a solar farm.
Our chairman at the time, Tom Parker, spotted the London to Brighton railway track next to a field and had a eureka moment.
How about feeding solar generation direct to the railway line.
And Riding Sunbeams was born – in Balcombe
Join us as Leo Murray, Chief Executive, presents an update on the project in both the UK and India, the fourth-largest national railway system in the World.
The session will be hosted by Tim Green, Head of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College, London, and a REPOWER director.
There will be a question and answer session after Leo’s presentation.
Our formal AGM will take place after the presentation for those who wish to stay and find out more about the Co-op’s activities in 2025 and ideas for the future.
Doors open at 10:30. Refreshments available
