AGM and Talk at Victory Hall, Balcombe – 15th April

Saturday 15th April at the Victory Hall. Doors open at 10 am for refreshments.

Our formal AGM will be preceded by a talk starting at 10:30, on The Future We Want by Nicola Peel, a Solutionist who has spent over 20 years working in the Ecuadorean Amazon. Due to the legacy of oil drilling Nicola has initiated numerous projects such as showing how mycoremediation, using fungi, can clean up oil spills and help in building rainwater systems for families drinking contaminated water.
She also started a successful agroforestry project to show how to regenerate soil and prevent tropical deforestation.
In the UK Nicola is the co-founder of the South East Climate Alliance which now has over 130 member organisations working on climate and ecological solutions. She lectures not only on her work but on Biomimicry and how Nature is our ultimate teacher. What could the future look like if we learnt from the intelligence all around us? There will also be some Amazon Crafts for sale.
All are welcome to attend the talk and optionally to stay for our formal AGM which will start at about 11:30.
We’ll be sending further information, including relevant documents, to our valued shareholders in time for the AGM.
